Ordering Repeat Prescriptions

Prescriptions can be ordered:

  • Through our designated prescription line on 01772 501712 between the hours of 9:30am and 11am
  • By placing your re-order form in the box provided at the front of the medical practice by the door
  • using your NHS account (through the NHS website or in the NHS App or EMIS - Patient Access
  • using the GP online system via the link at the top of this page
  • Over the reception desk using our medication request forms
  • By emailing it.p81107@nhs.net with your name, date of birth and prescription request

Prescriptions will be sent to your nominated pharmacy within 48 hours (2 working days) after ordering. Please speak to your nominated pharmacy on how long it takes them to dispense the medication once recieved from the surgery 

Questions about your prescription

If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.

The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.

If you would like to speak to someone at the GP surgery about your prescription:

  • You can call our designated prescription line from Monday to Friday on 01772 501712 between 9.30am and 11am
  • You can email us on it.p81107@nhs.net with your name, date of birth and your query 

Medication reviews

If you have a repeat prescription, we may ask you to come in for a regular review. We will be in touch when you need to come in for a review.

What to do with old medicines

Take it to the pharmacy you got it from or bring it in to the surgery. Do not put it in your household bin or flush it down the toilet.

About Pharmacists & Pharmacy First Services

As qualified healthcare professionals, pharmacists can offer advice on minor illnesses such as:

  • coughs
  • colds
  • sore throats
  • tummy trouble
  • aches and pains

They can also advise on medicine that you can buy without a prescription.

Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.

Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.

Pharmacy First Services

The following table shows the 7 conditions pharmacists can manage and treat across various age ranges without the need to see a GP first. Our reception team are able to refer you on for this to your preferred choice of pharamacy.
